Combined Blockliste

This list is used for incoming
emails and combines all of our recommended IP lists into a single query for convenience and speed. This quasi ‘combined’ list includes the blacklist, exploit list and policy IP lists for maximum security.

IP Spam Blocklist

This list contains the IP addresses of hosts that have sent emails to our primary traps. These traps are domains that have never been used for genuine emails or have rejected all emails for over a year. The list also includes manual network entries that we maintain.

IP Exploit Blocklist

This list is created by monitoring the behaviour of hosts that connect to our traps and our partners’ mail services. It includes all IP addresses that exhibit behaviour typical of compromised hosts, botnet/virus infections, proxies, VPNs, TOR exit nodes or IPs.

IP Policy Blockist

This list contains all IP addresses that should not connect directly to external SMTP servers.
Instead, they should use the smarthost of their Internet service provider or mailbox provider to forward messages via some form of SMTP authentication.

Domain Blocklist

This list applies to incoming and outgoing emails and contains domains and IP addresses found in the message content of spam received by our primary traps. We also track short URL links found in spam and list all intermediate or target domains.

Authbl Blocklist

This list is used for outgoing emails and is a sub-section of the Exploit Zone. It only includes hosts that have been discovered in the last 12 hours, instead of the usual 5.2 days. The shorter listing period is intended to avoid false positives when an IP address is returned to a DHCP pool.

nod List

This list includes all newly observed domains, with each domain expanded by placeholders. Being listed does not necessarily mean that the domain is bad. However, knowledge about a new domain can be helpful for other purposes such as evaluations or meta rules.
